COVID-19 GUIDELINES

The current health situation continues to impact the way you can use the Practice Place. New guidelines from the governor of California took effect on July 13th. Here is the complete link to The Order: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Pages/order-health-officer-07-02-20.aspx

In accordance with The Order of the public health officer and the governor of CA, The Practice Place is to remain closed to full bands practicing, until further notice, unless the bandmembers are part of the same family or living unit as stated in The Order. Unfortunately, the activities at the Practice Place fit into the “Limited Purposes” outlined in The Order. You can continue to use the Practice Place facility for storage or for practice alone, observing social distancing protocols. 

We want to emphasize that the use of facemasks or face shields is obligatory in public spaces in the building. Please use a mask when entering the building or when leaving your studio. 

SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS

1. NO GATHERING, PUBLIC OR PRIVATE. Bands will no longer be permitted to play together in their studios until further notice. (Section 6 of The Order)
2. If you chose to practice alone, disinfect your room when you arrive and when you leave, particularly door handles, on-off switches, shared equipment and power outlets. 
3. The use of facemasks or face shields is obligatory in public areas. 
4. Frequently wash your hands, for a minimum of 20 seconds, with anti-bacterial soap in warm water.
5. Use hand sanitizer when entering or leaving your studio or the building or after touching any surfaces. 
6. If there are other people in the building, avoid close contact and maintain a 6-foot distance from others in public spaces.      
7. One person allowed in the bathroom or hallway at a time. 
8. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or feel sick, please do not remain in the building. 
9. Sneeze or cough into your elbow or a disposable cloth. 
10. Do no shake hands or engage in any physical contact with others outside your family unit when in the building. 

Follow any additional instructions from the government that supersede these directions. 

These protocols exist to bring the Practice Place into alignment with the Order of the Health Officer of County of Santa Clara. These protocols are in effect until amended or nullified by the Health Officer of Santa Clara County or the Governor of California.
